We are very blessed here to have the Monastery of the Holy Spirit close to us. It's a wonderful place and the monks very generously open their gates and let people explore some of the grounds. They also have a store that helps to support the monks, many of whom are elderly. We all enjoy going to the monastery so I thought for a change of pace the kids and I would have a picnic there, so a couple of weeks ago we put together a picnic lunch got in the van and drove over.
It was a little hot, but everyone had a great time. The babies especially. They got to run around and make noise and just let loose. It was great! Next time we'll probably go when it's a little cooler and maybe even feed the geese there.
