We Did It

When a friend of ours found out we were going to Chicago, he suggested that we get some McCain/Palin gear to take with us. So as at his request, we proudly wore our homemade buttons and took a picture near a Chicago landmark. The day that we were able to walk around Michigan Ave. it was cold, rainy and of course windy. After we fortified ourselves with some authentic Chicago hot dogs, we walked around, trying to find the perfect spot when all of the sudden we spotted the Chicago Tribune building. Naturally, I forgot my camera at the hotel room so we used Ken's cell phone camera. We stood near the statue that Ken kept calling the Burger King (which we found out is actually supposed to be King Lear--who knew?) and took these pictures.

We flew home on Thursday afternoon, and while we had a great time in Chicago, I'm very glad to be home.

Ave Maria!
