Vocations

I've heard a lot of talk recently about the priest shortage mostly from Catholics who want to see married and/or female priests. As far as married priests go, I've never met a priest that thought it was a good idea. And as far as women priests go, I think John Paul II put it quite well when he said that the Church does not have the authority to ordain women--for me, it doesn't get much clearer than that. I know that there are some dioceses that are short on priests, but I just keep in mind Matt 16:18 and I know that God will provide us with the priests that we need.

Having said that, there are also some dioceses that really know how to advertise!!
